Clouds rolled across the sky above, blocking out the moon and silverpelt, and casting the land into darkness. Had he not been a cat, this may have left Breezestar blind in the night, feeling his way in the blackness, helpless and lost. But of course he was a cat, and he luminous blue eyes saw well in the lightless night, which was indeed a good thing for he was far from camp at the moment. Moving quietly through the long grass, the Shadowclan leader took a deep breath of cool night air and exhaled it with a slight peaceful sigh. Troubles came and went, but at the moment everything was well. Leaf bare was over, and with new leaf came more prey. His clan would be well fed once again and new leaf always seemed to bring more kits aswell. All was as it should be. A small gust of wind swept across the land and grass brushed against Breezestar's pale brown pelt. A thought occurred to him that it may be strange for a clan leader to be wandering aimlessly through his territory in the middle of the night. But he often did this. It helped him to clear his mind. Still, he wondered what others might think of him if they came across him.

{A CLOUDY NIGHT} reply from: Monbijoux " Now, now, is the fearless leader of ShadowClan troubled?" Monbijoux would never pass up a good taunt. And this one was huge. The leader of ShadowClan was wondering about on his own. How delightful. She materialized right in front of him, tilting her dark head and waltzing out from the shadow. Bits of a smoke-like substance drifted from underneath her paws as she stepped. ' Nothing troubling your mind, is there darling?" She purred, circling him. She giggled like a school girl. The moon's light wavered, trying to punch through both cloud and tree cover. " Isn't the dark delightful? I simple adore it." She planted herself in front of him, blinking her wide white-green eyes. She loved this time. The night when she could easily walk across the ground and not have to jump from shadow to shadow. And the night when she found a cat, wandering alone. Especially a leader cat, the ones that were the most loyal to StarClan. She grinned. " Come, come now lovely, you're not a mute, or are you? In which case I then simply have no other choice but to guide you on home, hmmm?" She laughed. It had a back-tone to it, almost like fingernails on a chalkboard. But maybe that's something you get from being dead a while... [And this is my crazy, really mad, really sort of insane, Monbijoux. :3] <3V [/blockquote]

Breezestar pricked his ears as a voice broke the silence of the night, pausing mid-step and scanning the land around him. The source was soon made apparent with her materialization, a thing which if he had not met before with Starclan cats may have actually brought a surprised expression to his ever composed face. Yet this was specter was different from any of his ancestors, a figure that appeared to be made up of shadows, a cat visible to him because she was blacker than the night around them. How… curious. The pale tabby tom remained silent, listening to the phantom continue her stream of questions, hoping she’s eventually say something that may indicate who she was and why she had chosen to confront him. From the taunting tone of her voice, he knew it was nothing good. But for the moment she seemed to pose no threat, so he met her strange white-green gaze evenly with his own blue pools.
With the question of his possible mute-ism, Breezestar decided his strange visitor may be losing her patients for his silent act. ”You’ll forgive me for my silence,” he replied, his voice measured and methodical. ”But surely you can understand. This is, after all, a rather unusual meeting. Now, if you are done asking questions which I’m sure you knew I had no intention of answering, I have a few of my own.”
(OOC: I like it! Sinister crazy meets calm and logical. Should be interesting ;D)

{A CLOUDY NIGHT} reply from: Monbijoux Monbijoux grinned. A fiesty toy! Hurray! Her tail snapped around her hips. " Forgiven." she purred." But, darling - why waist your breath? If you have no intention of answering my questions -- why would I answer yours?" Then she laughed. " I am Monbijoux. And you are BreezeStar." She whispered, sweeping around him. Her bright eyes flashed. She circled around him again and sat in front of him again. The ground around him still swirled with the black smoke that drifted off her paws. She planted herself in the moonlight. She might have been a ShadowJumper -- but moonlight is just as dark as a shadow. Her teeth flashed in an insane grin. She simply adored being immortal. " Really darling.. No need to get flustered or angry. I'm just playing a little game" she hissed, her voice fluttering with a hint of excitement and malice. [Even her logic is twisted. xDDD I'll reply to young miss tomorrow night. <333 Promise!] <3V [/blockquote]

"Forgiven. But, darling - why waste your breath? If you have no intention of answering my questions -- why would I answer yours?”
Breezestar had to admit she had a point, though he didn’t think it would make any difference. This shadowy figure had come here for a reason and the leader was sure she would continue speaking whether or not he played along. He resisted the urge to flatten his ears at her laugh. It was unsettling, but he refused to let her see that.
"I am Monbijoux. And you are BreezeStar."
Monbijoux, hm? he thought. It sounded just as strange in his head as it did when she said it. He watched her circle around him, following her only with his eyes, unwilling to be ruffled by a specter. The moon had peeked out from behind the rolling clouds above. This Monbijoux appeared no lighter to him in the moonlight.
"Really darling.. No need to get flustered or angry. I'm just playing a little game."
The pale tom detected the malicious excitement in her voice. “And what does this game entail?” he asked, his voice as even as it was earlier.

{A CLOUDY NIGHT} reply from: Monbijoux Another laugh. " My game is my game. And you have to follow the rules." She sang as sweetly as she could. She noticed how unnerved he was. Oh the possibilities. She then sighed. " I hope you do intend to follow the rules. Rule breakers are simply annoying..." Thunderhead clouds were billowing up around the trees. Full moons and thunderstorms. Her favorite type of night. She flexed her claws and flicked her tail, blinking her wide green eyes at him. " This is my game, sweetheart. If you can beat me -- I'll leave you alone. And I'm not talking about beating me with claws and teeth. I want logic. Mind games, if you will. That is all. And I'll give you a bonus if you can keep your stone cold demeanor while your at it. M'kay?" Then the twisted smile. " But, if you fail or refuse my game, I get to pop up and torment you until you get boring -- which can take a good long time." A huge gust of wind surged through the clearing, whipping up leaves and wisps of spectre. " Shall the game begin?" [>D Mwahahahaha.] <3V [/blockquote]

The dark cloud swelled above as Monbijoux spoke. The oppressive roar of thunder cracked as she finished her question. Had Breezestar been a medicine cat or very superstitious, he might have believed this to be an omen from Starclan warning him not to deal with this shadow. But he did not see omens in all things, and while he considered this may be one, there wasn’t much he could do about it. If he accepted and failed, she would torment him. If he refused, she would torment him. His only hope in this situation was to accept and win.
“You’ve left me with little choice, so I suppose we shall,” He replied. Lightening ripped the sky, illuminating the land in one quick flash.
[OOC: Guh. Short. Sorry. My brain's a little frazzled from moving]
